Biography
I started working out in highschool and got a taste of my first bench press competetion in Mr. Aloisio's gym class and I tied Ben Ondrus (Toronto Maple Leafs player) with 225 lbs. From there I was hooked and enrolled in a few highschool bench meets. I placed first in every year I competed and it escalated from there into my first 3-lift powerlifting meet and qualified for Nationals in 2001 in the beautiful place of Quebec City, Quebec. (I won gold).

My last National meet was in 2003 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and even though I won gold it was a very dissapointing meet in terms of not fulfilling my goals. I took some time off to play University football and now I am trying to make a return to lifting as I have started working out with more consistency and a purpose to become the best Canadian powerlifter. I used to hold all four Canadian National Jr. records but since then they have been broken. This drives me to break the Senior (Open) Canadian National records and be a viable threat to International competitions.

Good luck on World Open Championship this November. You placed 1st in Bench Press in 2008... Tough goal to beat International records and to reach over 1000kgs but it's only the quitters who wont get there.

Hi Alex. Thanks for welcoming me in TSC and for having me as one of your training partners. It's kind of funny that the name of my personal coach here in the Philippines is also Alex.

I will be filling in my biography and training log after the Philippine National Open Championships on July 18 - 19, 2009.
